|
Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the US Processing and Interpretation Manager, this role encompasses many functions including:
· Take responsibility for managing multiple (concurrent) projects effectively within agreed parameters.
· Ensure that quality control standards are met for processing, modeling and reporting activities.
· Liaise effectively with clients and co-workers to ensure that expectations and deliverables for quality and service are met or exceeded.
· Ensure that written reports are produced and delivered to the client in accordance with contract and company standards.
· Provide technical leadership in projects as required; demonstrating problem-solving skills and applying appropriate theory to drive practical and effective solutions
· Mentor and support co-workers; proactively transferring specialized knowledge and advancing the skills sets of individuals.
· Provide highly effective self and team management, ensuring efficient and thorough execution of all data processing, modeling, inversion and interpretation tasks and projects.
· Drafting of new procedures and approval of procedure updates.
· Develop and agree service parameters with clients in conjunction with the Processing & Interpretation Manager.
· Provide support to the Processing & Interpretation Manager by carrying out other duties and tasks as are reasonable and within the scope, purpose and grade of the job, as may be determined from time to time by the Processing & Interpretation Manager.
· Interface with the Development Group to test new algorithms and assist with technology transfer to the Processing and Interpretation Group.
· Keep abreast of new CSEM techniques and processes and market trends.
This is an exciting and challenging role for an experienced individual with CSEM processing experience to manage and deliver CSEM processing projects, delivering a unique service in a growing market, working for the leading CSEM service provider.
Preferences: The successful candidate will have:
· MSc or equivalent in a related geoscience discipline (geology, physics or geophysics) essential. PhD desirable.
· A minimum of 10 years experience in exploration processing essential.
· A minimum of 5 years experience in CSEM data processing essential.
· Industry experience in exploration seismic interpretation desirable.
· Strong project management and time management skills; able to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently to meet customer and company expectations for both quality and delivery.
· Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
· Excellent report writing skills.
· Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate effectively and present complex ideas and technical information to mixed audiences
· Strong interpersonal skills - approachable and able to develop good working relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels
· Strong team leadership abilities; motivates others to accept challenge and achieve outstanding results
· Commitment to the standards and values of the company and the role
· High levels of technical and IT competency; able to quickly become proficient in new software to successfully complete and deliver project work on time
· Proven track record of development, implementation and testing of EM algorithms highly desirable. Proficiency in Fortran and C++ advantageous as sometimes algorithms/code needs to be changed.
· The job holder must be willing and able to travel abroad when reasonably required to perform their duties

Package: An attractive Base salary of $80K - $140K (USD) plus performance related employee share option scheme, plus benefits is on offer dependent on skills and experience.
